Blockbusters Victors, 3-1, at San Diego

Los Angeles and San Diego duked it out and the Blockbusters came out victorious.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Los Angeles Blockbusters and the San Diego Captains, George Jakubowski, who finished 4th in the NBL in innings pitched with 250.0 in 1963, was the difference-maker. The Los Angeles right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Fred Wild.
With two out in the top of the second, Oscar Gonzalez put Los Angeles in front, 2-0, with a run-scoring single. The Blockbusters went on to win the ballgame.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Los Angeles skipper John Trausch. "I can't complain."
The win puts Los Angeles at 8-5.
