Cincinnati wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher John Stoddard, falling to the Cleveland Bobcats, 4-2. Stoddard threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The loss lowers the Cincinnati record to 6-7.

Cleveland used a timely hit from Ruben Galvan to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bobcats ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Galvan.
