Empires Win at Home, 5-1
|
New York Empires starter Nate Frampton turned in a top-notch performance against the Dallas Wranglers at Queens Field. The result was a win for the Empires, 5-1. With the win over Dallas, the Empires improved to 61-65.
New York took a 2-1 lead on Roger Hickey's 17th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hickey hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Dallas pitcher Steve Coomes visibly frustrated.
"Winning never gets dull," said Frampton.
