Generals Get Past Los Angeles for 4-3 Win
A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Ed Mika, who is tied for 10th in the ABL in hits with 138, led the Atlanta Generals to a win over the Los Angeles Pobladores, 4-3. The win was credited to Bill Davis in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Leon Fairley took the loss. With the win, Atlanta upped its record to 71-57.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Atlanta trailing 3-2, Mika jumped on a cutter from 29-year old left-handed pitcher Leon Fairley and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Generals had a walk-off win.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Mika.
