Los Angeles Beats Milwaukee, 5-2
|
The Los Angeles Blockbusters knocked off the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-2, in National Baseball League action at Blockbuster Stadium. Los Angeles pitcher and GuamĂșchil, Mexico, native Dario Fontanez had an outstanding performance. The Blockbusters have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 13 games.
Had Roger Adair not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Adair hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Blockbusters.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Adair told a Los Angeles Observer reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
