Packers Deal Blockbusters 5-3 Defeat

The Los Angeles Blockbusters could not turn a fine performance from left fielder Ernie Ronnebaum into a win. Instead, the Cincinnati Packers prevailed, 5-3. Ronnebaum was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brian Williams picked up the save, his 18th. With the win, the Packers sit at 66-62.
George Borowy helped out the Cincinnati cause in the top of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.
Borowy said his team "played with focus and determination."
