Cleveland 5-4 Losers to Dairymen
The Milwaukee Dairymen racked up a win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, bumping off the Cleveland Bobcats, 5-4. Chris Davalos, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. Bernie Kirk got the save, the 12th for him this season. Milwaukee now sits at 57-72, while Cleveland falls to 69-59.

Milwaukee took a 4-3 lead on Ray Bell's 25th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Bell hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cleveland pitcher John Stoddard visibly frustrated.

Davalos told the Milwaukee Gazette: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
