Pobladores Sunk by Seagulls
|
The San Francisco Seagulls picked up a win at Mission Field, knocking off the Los Angeles Pobladores, 2-1. Starting pitcher Jimmy Trent was a big reason why. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Jeff Butler. The Pobladores, now 4-9, continue their inauspicious start.
San Francisco took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Greg Leggett hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Seagulls in front, 2-1.
"Tough loss," said Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson. "But we'll learn from it."
