Wranglers Take 12-2 Pounding
The home team gave the crowd at Queens Field something to cheer about.

The Dallas Wranglers took it on the chin, losing, 12-2, to the New York Empires. Nate Frampton, who finished 3rd in the ABL in strikeouts with 175 in 1974, pitched a strong game for New York. The winning pitcher was Frampton, now 11-6. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8.

The Empires picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"Nate is a tough competitor," said New York manager Dan Whiting.

The Empires, at 71-56, sit in first place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.
