Isenbarger Goes Deep Twice in 8-4 Industrials Win
|
The Pittsburgh Industrials powered past the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 8-4, at Allegheny Field. Rob Isenbarger provided some of the pop. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was four-time All-Star Frank Combs. He tossed 130 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 4 runs on 11 hits. The Industrials, at 84-45, have now won 8 straight.
Alex Robinson, who is tied for 3rd in the NBL in extra base hits with 50, chipped in a 2-run home run for Pittsburgh in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Robinson.
