Pobladores Come Back Late to Clip Hurons
The Los Angeles Pobladores topped the Toronto Hurons by a score of 4-3. Leading the way was first baseman Chuck Gunter. Gunter was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Pobladores. Larry Seger, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Los Angeles occupies second place in the American Baseball League Western Division at 71-60.

Gunter had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Steve Persenaire, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Pobladores a 4-3 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Gunter.

"Fun game," said Gunter, "even when the outcome was in doubt."
