Lords Suffer One-Run Loss at Los Angeles
The Pobladores grabbed a win, 4-3, at San Vicente Park, overcoming a fine effort from Baltimore pitcher John Gannon. Gannon went 6.2 innings and allowed 4 runs. Larry Seger closed out the game, earning his 17th save. With the win, the Pobladores have a record of 67-61.

Los Angeles right fielder Mario Abreu contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a cutter to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 129th hit of the season and put the Pobladores ahead, 4-2.

Abreu called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
