Dominant Performance by Rodriguez in Detroit Win
|
Juan Rodriguez, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in strikeouts with 143, never let the Northmen get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Wolverines to a win, 4-0. Detroit has now won 7 games in a row.
Rodriguez overpowered the Northmen. The Detroit left-hander allowed 4 hits over 8 innings, while recording 11 punchouts. With the win, he is 10-11 on the season.
"Juan made some big pitches when he needed to," said Wolverines manager Alex Wobbema.
