Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Jerry Plumley, who is a five-time All-Star, the Detroit Wolverines defeated the Twin Cities Northmen, 8-1. William Matz finished the game for Detroit and earned his 8th save. With the win, the Wolverines sit at 66-63.
