Packers Win at Brooklyn, 6-2
|
The Cincinnati Packers and Brooklyn Bluebirds completed their game despite the rain.
The Cincinnati Packers downed the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 6-2, at Flatbush Park. The Packers were led by Darrell Davis. Davis was 2-3 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Packers raised their record to 58-73.
Stan Timmons came through with a big-time hit for Cincinnati. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
After the game, Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
