Bobcats Suffer 5-1 Road Loss
The home crowd had a good time watching the Cleveland Bobcats and New York Knickerbockers get after it.

New York starter Jack Forbes put a stranglehold on the Cleveland offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Knickerbockers to a 5-1 win. Forbes, now 11-5, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.

Ron Palmer had a big run-scoring double for the Knickerbockers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With New York leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Tim McDonald, who is tied for 5th in the NBL with a 6.0 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knickerbockers ahead, 3-1.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Palmer.

Cleveland has now lost 4 consecutive games.
