Stewart Helps Cincinnati Cruise to 10-3 Win
The Cincinnati Packers beat the New York Knickerbockers by a score of 10-3. Cincinnati left fielder Doug Stewart deserved the lion's share of the credit. Stewart went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Packers. The loss puts New York at 7-7.

Frank Bohley had a big 2-run double for the Packers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Cincinnati leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ray Schifsky and swatted a double to center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Packers ahead, 5-1.

"We came out aggressive," said Packers manager Martin Abresch. "We came out swinging the bats."
