The Kansas City Bulls picked up a win at Corps of Discovery Stadium, knocking off the St. Louis Explorers, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Kansas City was right-hander Waldo Hardaway. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Kansas City pitcher Dave Fields got the win. He's now 1-0. Alex Alonso was tagged with the loss. Bob Crosby collected save number 2.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Haskell McLemore? The former first round draft pick McLemore stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Kansas City up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
