Terriers Suffer 5-2 Road Loss
|
The Detroit Wolverines defeated the Boston Terriers, 5-2, in American Baseball League action at Wolverine Field. Detroit pitcher Jim Bryant had a standout performance. With the win, the Wolverines sit at 75-55.
Bob Gilley, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1970 draft, chipped in a 2-run home run for Detroit in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Bryant said. "And the same is true when you lose."
