Phil Lester pitched a dandy of a game to help the Los Angeles Pobladores beat the Seattle Emeralds, 7-1. The triumph puts Los Angeles at 68-62 for the season.

Lester dominated for Los Angeles, raising his record to 8-16. Seattle hitters had few good at-bats against the left-hander, who scattered 3 hits over 9 innings while striking out 3.

"Phil did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Los Angeles manager Alex Wobbema.
