Cassill Slugs Eagles to 9-4 Win
Wet weather did not postpone the Washington-Cleveland ballgame.

Washington left fielder Alan Cassill played a vital role in his team's 9-4 conquest of Cleveland. He went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Washington. Bill John got the win, improving to 9-14. He held the Bobcats to 4 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4.

With Washington leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Cassill hit a sinker from Bruce Cardenas for a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Eagles ahead, 4-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Cassill told the Washington Observer.
