Bobcats Keep Streak Alive With 2-0 Win
|
Cleveland turned a good effort from starter Scott Dubyak into a win over the Washington Eagles at Lakefront Stadium. The final score was 2-0. The winning pitcher was Dubyak, now 13-7. He tossed 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The Bobcats have an impressive 87-45 record.
Frank Bohley had a big run-scoring double for the Bobcats in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Cleveland leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher David Rodriquez and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bobcats ahead, 2-0.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Cleveland skipper Daniel Mays. "I can't complain."
