The Montreal Habitants got production up and down the lineup while beating the Houston Drillers, 19-2. One standout was first baseman Don Hill. Hill, who is tied for 9th in the ABL with a .902 OPS, went 3-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 5 runs and driving in 5. This win makes it 10 in a row for Montreal.

With Montreal leading 16-2 in the top of the eighth, Hill came up to bat against Houston pitcher Gary Dale. Hill hit a cutter to right for a 3-run home run. His 20th home run of the season put the Habitants on top, 19-2.

Houston manager Tom Harrington said "nothing went right"in the blowout loss.
