Tapia Homers Twice in 12-5 Win
The San Francisco Seagulls beat the Chicago Hawks, 12-5, at Mission Field. The win was due in part to left fielder Bobby Tapia, who went 4-5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Bill Fletcher earned the win for San Francisco. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 3-4.
