Pittsburgh Loses, 5-2, in 10
|
The Pittsburgh Industrials went down to defeat to Antonio Valerio and his Brooklyn teammates. The final score was 5-2, Bluebirds, in 10 innings. Brooklyn, now 9-5, has played well in the early going.
Ron Freeman came through with a big-time hit for Brooklyn. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Antonio is good at sticking to his strengths," said Brooklyn manager John Meeker.
