Emeralds Collect 7-6 Win Over Pobladores
The Seattle Emeralds needed 13 innings to beat the Los Angeles Pobladores, 7-6, at Puget Field. The win was due in part to left fielder Don Gerwig, who went 4-6 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. Seattle now sits at 59-72, while Los Angeles falls to 68-63.

The two teams entertained the Puget Field crowd with some good baseball.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Gerwig told a local reporter after the game.
