Pete Morrison powered the Detroit Wolverines to a win over the Baltimore Lords. The final score was 6-3. The Detroit left fielder, who finished 3rd in the ABL in home runs with 36 in 1969, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Juan Rodriguez earned the win, while two-time All-Star John Fredrick took the loss for Baltimore. The win for the Wolverines raised their record to 68-64.

With Detroit leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Morrison hit a fastball from John Fredrick for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 3-0.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Morrison said.
