Dairymen Come Up Short at Cleveland, 2-1
The Cleveland Bobcats did just enough to secure a victory over the Milwaukee Dairymen, 2-1, at Lakefront Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Tim McDonald. McDonald, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The loss puts Milwaukee at 6-8.

Herman Comp dealt the Dairymen a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Cleveland leading 1-0, Comp hit a 1-2 circle change for a run-scoring single.

"We found a way to get it done," McDonald said.
