Chicago Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the Chicago Traders and the Cincinnati Packers, Larry Cox, who led the NBL in wins with 21 last year, was the difference-maker. The Chicago right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The National Baseball League Western Division-leading Traders are 78-56.

Fran Precourt was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Traders center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Precourt told the Chicago Bulletin.
