5-for-5 Game for Bassett
It was a sensational day at the plate for Mark Bassett as he led the charge to a nifty 7-1 win over the Bobcats. The Philadelphia shortstop was pure misery for the Cleveland pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Bassett put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Daniel Mays, manager for the Bobcats, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Mark Bassett singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

During the current season Bassett is batting at a .266 clip with 5 home runs and 53 RBIs. He has played in 109 games and scored 33 times.
