Denver pitcher Kim Glanden did his part in helping his team beat the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Manny Esparza was credited with the save for Denver, his 18th of the season. The 'W' lifts Denver's record to 66-68.

Johnny Kolakowski had a big 2-run double for the Burros in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Denver leading 3-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a splitter from Fred Berry, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1972 draft, and swatted a double to left. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Burros ahead, 5-2.

"Kim gave us everything he had," said Denver manager Clark Anderson.
