Combs Silences Los Angeles Bats
Frank Combs, who finished 2nd in the ABL in innings pitched with 252.1 in 1970, had a strong outing for the Atlanta Generals against the Los Angeles Pobladores at Atlantic Station Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-0 win. With the victory, the Generals upped their record to 71-62.

Combs picked up the win. He's now 12-7, after putting the Los Angeles offense in the deep freeze. Over 8 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 3 hits.

"Frank is a gamer," said Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie.
