Thanks in large part to shortstop Kyle Devine, the Atlanta Generals beat the Baltimore Lords, 12-3. Devine was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Atlanta is now 57-76, Baltimore 69-64.

Atlanta used a clutch at-bat from Steve Walp to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Generals ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Walp said. "We did a good job of that today."
