Washington Picks Up Another L
Los Angeles pitcher Ken Morrison did his part in helping his team beat the Washington Eagles, 9-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Washington has now lost 9 straight.

The Blockbusters benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the second. With Jim Brookins at bat and Los Angeles leading 1-0, the Washington miscue allowed Los Angeles to plate 2 and take the lead, 3-0.

Said losing manager Dick Dasterdly: "These are the grinding hard days that all good teams go through, and this is when we've got to stick together and believe in one another."
