The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of San Francisco fans at Mission Field.

The San Francisco Seagulls picked up a win at Mission Field, dropping the Los Angeles Pobladores, 5-4. Arturo Lopez was the difference-maker. Randy Shipley finished to wrap up his 1st save.

San Francisco pinch hitter Bob Russell helped the Seagulls go up, 5-3, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Russell hit a 2-run single off Los Angeles pitcher Whistlestop Meadows.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Russell. "But I like how we're playing right now."

With the win, San Francisco is 9-5.
