The Los Angeles Pobladores knocked off the Toronto Hurons, 9-1, at Dominion Field. Bobby Bridges was a big reason Los Angeles won. The right fielder went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Dan Turner got the win, improving to 11-8. He worked 9 innings, giving up 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The win lifted the Los Angeles record to 69-64.
With the game tied, 1-1, in the top of the sixth, Bridges had a key at-bat for Los Angeles. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Bridges hit a run-scoring single off Dan Crumm, making the score 2-1, Pobladores.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Jim Burns.
