Fred Harrison pitched well, but his team, the Detroit Wolverines, still dropped a 1-0 decision to the Twin Cities Northmen at Wolverine Field. Rick Lindstrom earned the save, his 20th in 27 tries. With this game in the books, Twin Cities is 58-76, Detroit 68-65.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Chris Berman was at the plate when Twin Cities scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Northmen to go in front, 1-0.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Berman told the Twin Cities Daily News.
