The Dallas Wranglers weathered a fine game by Boston right fielder Angel Gutierrez to upend the Terriers, 7-6, at Bluff Park. Gutierrez was 2-5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Jim Whitley snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Sergio Cisneros suffered the loss. Dallas goes to 66-69, Boston to 61-74.

The Wranglers got a clutch hit from first baseman Armando Landa. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wranglers.

Landa said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
