Rodela Silences Detroit Bats
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Montreal fans at LaSalle Stadium.
Montreal starter Oscar Rodela pitched well against the Detroit Wolverines at LaSalle Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. The win for the Habitants lifted their record to 68-67.
Rodela, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 9-11. In 8 innings of work, Rodela gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while racking up 8 Ks. He kept the Wolverines punchless, offensively.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Rodela.
