Dairymen Need Extra Innings to Top Burros, 5-3
The Milwaukee Dairymen defeated the Denver Burros, 5-3, in 10 innings in National Baseball League action at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Milwaukee pitcher Juan Mendoza had a standout performance. Milwaukee reliever Guillermo Ortega picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Manny Esparza took the loss. Milwaukee, with the win, climbs to 47-89.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tug Hollenbeck in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Manny Esparza to win the game for Milwaukee. The home crowd went nuts.

"This house was rockin'," Hollenbeck said.
