Underwood Lifts Knickerbockers to 12-3 Triumph
The New York Knickerbockers trumped the Kansas City Bulls, 12-3, at Knickerbocker Stadium. New York right fielder Bob Underwood was terrific. He was 4-4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs. By defeating Kansas City, the 4th-place Knickerbockers improved to 68-67.

New York shortstop Dwayne Lamons delivered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 3.
