Pitcher Waldo Hardaway was sensational for the Kansas City Bulls in his team's 8-1 triumph over the New York Knickerbockers. Hardaway earned the win. By defeating New York, the second-place Bulls improved to 76-60.

Kansas City used a clutch at-bat from Dave Tislow to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bulls ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Sean Kelly.
