Wolverines Lose By a Run at Twin Cities
The Twin Cities Northmen defeated the Detroit Wolverines, 6-5. Doing his part was catcher John Kinney, who went 4-4 with 4 singles. Twin Cities is now 65-69, Detroit 73-63.

There was more than one reason the Northmen beat the Wolverines, but Kinney's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Kinney.
