Emeralds Get 8-2 Win Versus Twin Cities
|
Seattle Emeralds starter Pat Burkholder was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Twin Cities Northmen, 8-2. The winner was Burkholder. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Edgar Trask. Twin Cities has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Seattle right fielder Floriano Venegas contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Emeralds ahead, 3-1.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Venegas.
