Bobcats Squeeze By Washington, 3-2
Cleveland beat Washington at Lakefront Stadium, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Bill Harper. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Washington's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Tom Crowell drove in one run for Cleveland. The four-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ricky Grill. It was his 72nd RBI of the season.

"That's baseball," said Washington manager Brandon Tucker. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
