Hurons Continue Skid, Thanks to Wagner, Seagulls
Riding the 2-hit performance of the fan favorite Scott Wagner, the San Francisco Seagulls defeated the Toronto Hurons, 6-1. With the win, San Francisco raised its record to 79-58.

Don Johnson had a big solo home run for the Seagulls in the bottom of the third inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a curveball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Wayne Roberts and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Seagulls on top, 2-0.

Afterward, Toronto manager Jim Burns said: "We've hit a rough patch."
