With center fielder Jorge Luna leading the charge, the Toronto Hurons defeated the Los Angeles Pobladores, 5-4, at Dominion Field. Luna, who finished 3rd in the ABL in batting average with .328 last year, was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Dave Hamilton, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-4. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Toronto is now 64-73, Los Angeles 73-65.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Toronto first baseman Max Lasseter, facing Phil Lester, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Hurons the 5-4 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Lasseter said.
