Wagner Shines in 4-2 San Francisco Win
The San Francisco Seagulls welcomed the Toronto Hurons to an afternoon game at Mission Field.

A 3-RBI performance from first baseman Scott Wagner, who is tied for 6th in the ABL in RBI with 87, led the San Francisco Seagulls to a win over the Toronto Hurons, 4-2. Archie Sereni converted his 31st save in 35 tries.

With San Francisco trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Wagner hit a sinker from Alfonso Sosa for a 2-run home run. It was his 24th home run of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 3-2.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Toronto skipper Jim Burns, "and it cost us."

San Francisco is now 80-58, Toronto 52-84.
