The Dallas Wranglers defeated the Boston Terriers, 7-5. Second Baseman Dick Howard deserved a large share of the credit. Howard was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Wranglers. Frank Dunn earned the save, his 28th in 36 tries. The losing streak for Boston has now reached 10 games.

Howard had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from David Juarez, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Wranglers a 7-5 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Howard.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Howard.
