Northmen 5-3 Victors Over Detroit
|
The Twin Cities Northmen picked up a win at Wolverine Field, taking down the Detroit Wolverines, 5-3. Starting pitcher Bob Freeland was a big reason why. By defeating Detroit, the 6th-place Northmen improved to 56-81.
Rick Giardina helped out the Twin Cities cause in the top of the seventh inning with a 2-run home run. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Bob was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.
