Wolverines Keep Chugging, Win, 4-2
The Detroit Wolverines racked up a win at Wolverine Field, bumping off the Baltimore Lords, 4-2. William Matz, who started for Detroit, pitched effectively for his team. Alfredo Morales nailed down his 3rd save. Detroit, now 11-3, is setting the league on fire so far.

Booker Lee drove in one run for Detroit. The 11-year veteran had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Denny Boyd. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

Said Detroit manager Alex Wobbema: "They come in every day and work hard. It's nice to see that work pay off."
