Twin Cities Offense MIA in 6-0 Loss
|
Denny Goldberg, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in wins with 15, never let the Northmen get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Emeralds to a win, 6-0. Goldberg, the winner, moves to 15-10. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 6 walks. Seattle has now won 7 in a row.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Gary Patterson to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Emeralds on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Seattle manager Mark Velez.
