In a seemingly effortless performance, Steve Coomes of the Dallas Wranglers shot down the Boston Terriers, 1-0, on 4 hits.

"Steve was just locating so well and using his pitches," Dallas manager William Albrecht said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Coomes recorded 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Boston manager David Molina said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
