Northmen Earn Late Win
|
Twin Cities turned a good performance from starting pitcher Syed Farooqi into a 1-0 triumph over the Seattle Emeralds at Twin Cities Stadium. By defeating Seattle, the 5th-place Northmen improved to 66-72.
Had Greg Clement not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Clement hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Northmen.
"Syed giving us the start that he did was huge," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.
