Empires Mow Down Hurons, 10-2
New York starter Danilo Molina ran into little resistance from Toronto hitters, as his team cruised to victory, 10-2. Molina, the 14th overall pick in the 1964 draft, went the distance for New York. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. The victory makes New York 9-5.

New York left fielder Dave Helms contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 11th hit of the season and put the Empires ahead, 3-0.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said New York skipper Jason Jung.
