Industrials Send Los Angeles Home with 6-4 Loss
|
The Pittsburgh Industrials picked up a win at Allegheny Field, knocking off the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 6-4. On the mound for Pittsburgh was right-hander John Fagan. He played a key role in the triumph. The triumph puts Pittsburgh at 85-54 for the season.
Had Don Keough not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Keough hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Industrials.
In postgame comments to the Pittsburgh Bulletin, Keough said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
