Habitants Rally to Nose Past Atlanta
|
The Montreal Habitants picked up a win at Atlantic Station Field, knocking off the Atlanta Generals, 3-2. Starting pitcher Manny Esparza was a big reason why. The win was credited to Al Johns in relief. His record improves to 7-6. Frank Noorani took the loss. Eric Roe recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 6 for 8.
Montreal took a 3-2 lead on Ed Hudson's 16th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hudson hit in the top of the eighth, left Atlanta pitcher Frank Noorani visibly frustrated.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie.
The win puts Montreal at 77-63 this season.
